Media Release: Angus Stewart releases a bold new gardening book

Now Tassie-based, gardener and HMAA member, Angus Stewart, has a new book out in time for Christmas. It is a bright, bold book with lots of pictures and easy-to-follow ideas but it’s not a kids’ book. It will however appeal to new as well as older gardeners!

Angus has teamed up with daughter Emma, who is also a horticulturist, to produce Future Proof Your Garden: Environmentally Sustainable Ways to Grow More with Less (rrp $45), which looks at issues close to the heart of all gardeners considering how to cope with their garden in these times of weather extremes.

Angus and Emma solve dilemmas about the capture and store water and how to use it efficiently and care for the soil. The step-by-step explanation of how to build a wicking bed, one of several step-by-steps in the book, will be of great help to those who want to grow vegetables with less water and less stress. There’s also a very comprehensive plant gallery of native and exotic plants.
