The HMAA AGM was held on 19 Oct via a phone link. During the AGM a motion was moved to integrate HMA News online with a new website that would incorporate a national database of members as part of the one Association. The HMAA Executive acknowledges that this process will involve the states working together on finer details to ensure a smooth transition.
It should be again reinforced that:
- state Associations’ and their funds will remain intact;
- state HMA Executives will remain intact; and
- there is no change to HMA state entities.
The funding for this new integrated website has been budgeted and will come from existing funds held in HMAA accounts.
The outcomes of the AGM are very exciting for HMA members. HMA will finally be operating as one unified voice with a completely new national web interface providing real-time media information, resources and updates for members.
I would like to congratulate the incoming members of the HMAA Executive and I look forward to many exciting developments for HMA during 2018. HMAA Office Bearers and Executive were elected as follows for the 2018 Financial Year:
