Join with HMAA Victorian members on Wednesday, November 14 for a very special visit to Flora Victoria – The Native Grass Experts
Chris Findlay, Graeme Hoxley and the Flora Victoria team have generously agreed to host members and friends of HMA Victoria at the Keilor property where native grasses are grown and trialled.
Their native grasses have been used in many award winning landscapes, replacing exotic lawn grasses. With requirements to use more indigenous plants in urban landscapes, direct seeding indigenous grasses and wildflowers for amenity can provide a cheap, effective alternative to mulched garden beds.
Enjoy a tour of the facility and hear Chris talk about the horticulture behind what Flora Victoria does, why they do it and how to do it successfully – including site ID, site prep, plant choice, stock prep, tubestock v direct seeding and a host of other topics relating to the use and selection of native grasses.
