West Australian-based international garden centre consultant John Stanley will be one of the presenters at the recently announced 2022 Global Garden Retail Virtual Conference & Show. The worldwide online event will be free to attend and runs from February 1-3 next year.
The conference format consists of 20-minute speeches, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and an online trade show. Registration is free thanks to generous sponsorship from growers including Ball.
In speaking about the conference John Stanley said: “It is time for a global virtual event for our industry. This will be the largest audience ever in an industry-wide conference and trade show, hearing thought leader points of view, experiences, and examples from around the world.”
Hi talk has the provocative title of ‘It’s Time to Get Naked’.
Other speakers include Anna and Susannah Ball whose talk titled ‘Our Views of The Massive Worldwide Opportunity for Horticulture’ will kick start the conference. They say that retail garden centres have opportunities that need to be embraced.
“Every single consumer and business trend is in our favour,” they said in promoting their talk. “We have never been in such a position. We have been given a gift! Let’s wrap it up beautifully and share it.” Anna and Susannah feel that now is not the time to be boring at retail but to take calculated risks in merchandising, product selection, pricing and marketing, and their talk will delve more into opportunities for success, profitability and having an impact on the world.”
Other speakers include Katie Elzer-Peters, Andres Burton and Derek Peebles.
