Have you entered an HMAA member in the prestigious 2026 Honour Laurels?

The Hall of Fame Gold Laurel, sponsored by Neutrog, recognises an HMAA member who has made an outstanding and sustained contribution to horticultural media over their career.

The Anita Boucher Laurel, sponsored by Felco, recognises an outstanding contribution to horticultural media by an emerging member under 35 years of age. The award honours the late Anita Boucher, a founding member of HMAA.

Each nomination must include a written citation outlining the nominee’s achievements, contribution to horticultural media, and reasons for consideration.

Nominations must be submitted to the HMAA President at: president@hmaaustralia.com.au by June 15, 2026.

Rebecca Mumford, SA, says about being the winner of the Anita Boucher Award 2024:

“Being nominated for and winning the Anita Boucher Award at the last Laurels was a surprise and the recognition so appreciated.

“I have been working for the last 16 years to inspire our future generation to care for our environment and demonstrate a love for growing food and gardening. Driven by passion, sometimes the hard work takes its toll, so to be recognised for the effort gave me a boost of energy.

“The Award was also recognition for the schools and teachers that I work with. It was encouragement for their effort in making environmental education a priority when there are so many competing priorities in education.

“We all need food to live, so there can’t be anything more important to learn about than growing food.”
