The Gold Laurel Hall of Fame award will be one of two prestigious Honour presented at the 2026 Neutrog HMAA Laurels Dinner on Thursday, September 3 in Adelaide. Past winner, Jane Edmanson, pictured here with Costa, tells us what winning this Honour Laurel meant to her and its significance for HMAA members. Book here for the dinner, which is being held at Carrick Hill Estate, to discover who’ll receive this year’s Gold Laurel.
“Being awarded the Hall of Fame Gold Laurel was a very significant event for me because it helped make people take notice of HMAA and what the organisation represents.
“When we first established HMAA in the 1990s, our aim was to raise the profile of the people involved in sharing the joys of horticulture and gardening through various forms of media. Nursery owners and other horticultural colleagues began to take notice and to realise what a valuable contribution we were making to our industry. Then, when The Laurels were introduced a few years later, we had a further opportunity to have our work recognised by our peers, the industry and the general public.
“Being acknowledged in the HMAA Hall of Fame was a tremendous personal honour but, most of all, being part of HMAA and sharing companionship and knowledge with like-minded colleagues has been an important part of my professional life now for more than a quarter of a century. Long may we continue!”
