Chelsea Flower Show opens in September

After two cancellations the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show has opened its gates. The show was moved to September from May. It is the first time the show has run in autumn. Smaller with fewer big name designers, the show is still getting the thumbs up from the UK gardening media.

Usually a crowded affair, a more spacious layout and less crowded Great Pavilion allowed the show to go ahead in the time of COVID. Best in Show this year went to The Guangzhou China: Guangzhou Garden designed by Peter Chmiel with Chin-Jung Chen. For a list of the medal-winning gardens see Here. The show returns to spring to May in 2022.
