Environmental Biosecurity webinar: Protecting Country Against Invasive Species Program

Join us on Wednesday 1 July from 2:00pm to 2:45pm (AEST) for our next webinar on the Protecting Country Against Invasive Species Program with special guest presenter Dr Angie Reid, from the North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance (NAILSMA).

Since 2024, the department’s Office of the Chief Environmental Biosecurity Officer has been working in partnership with NAILSMA to support Indigenous Ranger Groups in northern Australia to manage pests and weeds. Outcomes include increased skills and qualifications in invasive species management, access to technology and equipment, coordination with other ranger groups to protect Country and culture and strengthened governance and partnerships.

Dr Angie Reid is the Program Manager for NAILSMA and will showcase achievements from the program to date, as well as future goals for the program.
