The recently released Our Gardens Winter 2026 features articles by HMAA members Faye Arcaro (WA), John Mason (QLD) and Kate Wall (QLD). Our Gardens is a quarterly hard copy magazine published by the Garden Clubs of Australia, which has 800+ member clubs around Australia.
The stunning cover photo of Teucrium fruticans was taken by regular, and very popular, contributor Peta Trahar. As Peta says, with teucrium’s attractive flowers and foliage, toughness and pull for pollinators, what more could you wish for!
Editor Judy Horton (HMAA NSW) would welcome contributions from HMAA members. No payment (we’re all volunteers) but a great opportunity to reach many Australian gardeners. If you’d like to contribute an article, contact Judy at editor@gardenclubs.org.au to discuss your ideas.
In the Winter 2026 issue you’ll also find:
- Rose experts’ favourites
- Daniel’s gardening philosophy
- Monarch butterflies invade a WA garden festival
- The camellia legacy of Willam Macarthur
- Geoff’s ‘Bold & Beautiful’ in the garden
- The power of pollination
- Garlic – a vampire repellent (and more)
- Two New Zealand gardens with one owner
- How to compost with success
- Fairhill Native Nursery’s resurrection
- Discovering community gardens
- Foliage is the basis of a winter floral design
And we have all the regulars: Diary Dates, In Touch Club News, New Releases and Seasonal Tips. The magazine is circulated to garden club members. If you want to find a copy, contact Judy Horton at editor@gardenclubs.org.au
