Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria together with Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation (WWCHAC) and partners, have co-created a new garden, ‘Wurundjeri biik bolin bolin’, for the 2026 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) between 25 and 29 March.
In Woi-wurrung language, Wurundjeri biik bolin bolin means ‘Wurundjeri Country Billabong’. This billabong was one of the most significant meeting places for Kulin Nations on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country and is still an important cultural and ecological site situated along the Yarra River in Bulleen.
