Report locust activity to protect Queensland

Recent wet weather has created ideal conditions for locust breeding in parts of Queensland, with the potential for locust plagues to develop. 

Reporting significant locust or nymph activity enables us to monitor locust density and movement across Queensland and undertake proactive control to prevent continued breeding.  

Here’s a video of locust nymphs found approximately 100 km north of Jericho and 80 km north-east of Aramac, in the Barcaldine region. Thanks to Barcaldine Regional Council for the video.
