Mt Gambier Conference, South Australia
Optional Day: Monday 3 November
** Additional Seats Released **
We’re delighted to announce that an additional bus has been added to enable more participants to join the Optional Day Tour following the AGHS Mt Gambier Conference.
Richard Heathcote, Di Wilkins and Jeffrey Jenkison share the leadership on the single day Optional Day tour. We depart from Mt Gambier at 7.45am, with picks up for conference delegates from The Barn and Mt Gambier town centre. We’re headed to Naracoorte Caves for a guided tour, morning tea to experience the geological wonders of this network of underground caves.
The first bus will depart for Hynam township, Gum Park house and garden. Dee Nolan, owner, addresses us on the history of her family’s ownership and the restoration since she returned in 1996. Dee will share her interests in biodynamic gardening, rare breed sheep and olive orcharding.
After lunch, the first bus departs for Lucindale to visit Air & Thistle where owner, Anna Robinson, will share a history of the house; there is also opportunity for retail therapy. Then back to Mount Gambier via Princes Highway, with stops at Millicent Observation at Snuggery, Gower National Park and Tantanoola Hotel.
The second bus will conduct this tour in reverse. Richard Heathcote and Jeffrey Jenkinson will swap buses at lunchtime for you to enjoy two distinct and fascinating perspectives.
4.45pm Mt Gambier town centre and The Barn drop offs.
Bookings are essential. Secure your place. If you’ve already booked for the conference, select the Optional Day ticket only.
