Images of the world’s first blue cyclamen have been published by Greenhouse Grower magazine in its recent review of new releases. The plant, an F1 Cyclamen persicum, has been developed by Schoneveld and is part of the Dragon Series, which also includes purple- and white-flowered new releases.
There are two tones of blue. Breeders say other colours are in the pipeline. Other qualities of the new release varieties include better heat tolerance, more uniform flowering, larger flowers on small plants and better disease tolerance and treatments.
