The Cactus and Succulent Society has put the call out for speakers for their conference, which will be held in Melbourne in April, 2026. The organisers are keen to find speakers who can talk on cactus and succulents and related topics.
In particular they are looking for people who can talk about tissue culture, AI and robot technology for the commercial production of plants, succession planning and how to recruit more young people into the industry. They are also open to other topics.
“We are also trying to bring more diversity to our speakers so any LGBTQIA or CALD/POC suggestions would be most welcome,” says organiser Kristeen Macleod. “We will pay for transport and accommodation and a speaker’s fee to the venue in Melbourne, the dates would be April 10-13,” says Kristeen.
