Salvia ‘Amante’ – Australian Perennial Growers

Botanical Name – Salvia guarantica x gesnerifolia ‘Amante’

Growing to 1-1.2m tall x 1m wide.

Salvia ‘Amante’ derives from an elite breeding program conducted in South America. A sister plant to ‘Amistad’, this Salvia has bright fuchsia-red flowers with dark calyxes and the same vigorous bushy habit.
‘Amante’ is an appropriate name for this bold new Salvia which stands for lover in Spanish.

Salvia ‘Amante’ is more compact and has a fuller habit than other Salvia guaranitica types.
It is easy to grow and responds well to trimming.
