There is one week in spring when the country comes to the city. From September 2-10, Wayville in Adelaide comes alive with flowers and floriculture designed to captivate all at the Royal Adelaide Show.
The Goyder Pavilion showcases competitive horticulture and floriculture provides a visual treat for visitors to the Royal Adelaide Show.
Also in the Goyder Pavilion are several flower and potted plant competition sections including camellias, daffodils, flowering annuals and perennials, natives, shrubs, trees, cut flowers, bonsai as well potted plants such as ferns, succulents, cacti and flowering and foliage pot plants.
Other competitions include the Schools Kitchen Garden Competition and a display of colourful scarecrows.
Stroll around to also enjoy Landscape and Garden Displays, which include a showstopper by HMAA member, Sophie Thomson. Costa Georgiardis has his own showstopper. He’s demonstrating beard decoration with fresh blooms!
