Planning for the Perth Garden & Outdoor Living Festival to be held over the Mother’s Day weekend in May is well underway says NGIWA Executive Officer Lisa Passmore.
“We will be celebrating 50 years of garden festivals in Perth,” says Lisa. “This year the focus on sustainability, climate resilience, water conservation and we will see some exciting synergies and collaborations unfolding.
“Education will continue to be an important component of the Festival and we are delighted to have HMA on board, developing the speakers’ program once again.”
She says the show gardens are another key attraction at the event and this year with three categories of display on offer. The small space garden (less than four square metres), the everyday garden (up to 25 square metres) and the grand garden designs (up to 150 square metres).
“We hope to inspire students and NextGen members to create a small space garden with the support of our members – whether in sponsorship or in-kind support,” says Lisa. “If you are interested in either designing/installing or sponsoring a small space garden, please get in touch with me.”
