The 50th Perth Garden and Outdoor Living Festival was held last week (May 11-14) at Langley Park on the Swan River beside the Perth CBD. Deryn Thorpe reports.
During the four-day event, HMAA members shared their knowledge in talks held on the Soil Solver Main Stage with compere John Colwill. Despite his compere role, John also snapped lots of photos during the event.
Food, and particularly using garden produce, is also an important part of the Festival. I compered the Kleenheat Kitchen, which featured celebrity chefs including HMAA member and cookbook author Casey Lister.
Members Linda Mitchener and Mark Tucek set up retail sites and Mark took out the runner’s up award for his display of Tucker Bush plants.
