In February, members of the Horticulture Media Association of South Australia (HMA SA) were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Neutrog, a leading name in organic garden care. Victoria Pearce, Secretary, HMA SA reports on the visit.
The event provided an inspiring look at the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the future of soil health. Neutrog’s R&D Manager, Dr Uwe Stroeher, along with his team, guided attendees through the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities.
The tour offered valuable insights into the development of their premium organic fertilisers and soil conditioners. With the recent launch of Neutrog’s cutting-edge laboratory, anticipation is high for new breakthroughs in soil science and plant nutrition.
Adding to the experience, Dr Brenton Kortman, President of the Rare Fruit Society of South Australia, led a tour of the Society’s trial orchard. Attendees were given a firsthand look at efforts to preserve heritage plant varieties and biodiversity, an encouraging testament to the importance of safeguarding South Australia’s horticultural legacy.
The evening concluded with a picturesque dinner on the lawns, followed by an engaging address from Neutrog’s Managing Director Angus Irwin. He provided exclusive insights into the company’s latest product, CHOCKA BLOK, a premium super compost full of goodness, biologically activated super compost. It is an Australian organic registered garden product. It contains no green waste, which the company says ensures consistent, high-quality compost year-round.
As a special gesture, each guest received a complimentary bag of CHOCKA BLOK, sparking excitement among attendees eager to incorporate it into their own gardens.
The HMA SA extends its heartfelt thanks to Angus Irwin and the entire Neutrog team for hosting a truly exceptional and enlightening event.
