Grow It Local, a fast growing community and digital platform that gives aspiring growers the opportunity to learn from the worlds leading growers, chefs and local food heroes, has partnered with globally leading environmental brand Patagonia.
As part of the partnership Grow It Local has supported the launch of Patagonia’s newly released ‘Farm Boys’ – the world’s only hardcore surf and gardening show.
Farm Boys is a 6-part web series that follows earth wizards Heath Joske and Addy Jones as they set about building a garden paradise in the dry Australian bush from some old junk, a handful of seeds and a lot of hard work. Throughout the six-part series they catch up with a network of surfing friends who’ve all made a life out of growing their own food, in their own backyards, in their own way.
The Farm Boys series premiered in Patagonia’s flagship stores across Australia at which Grow It Local ran food growing education workshops couple with a presentation from Grow It Local co-founder Paul West on the impacts of growing food.
Heath and Paul also ran a ‘growers Q&A’ at the events to help attendees overcome any troubles in their patch.
