Fiona Ogilvie chalks up major milestone

At the beginning of August, HMAA member Fiona Ogilvie celebrated her 30th anniversary with The Land. Fiona and her husband Bill live and garden on their farm near Bathurst, New South Wales and Fiona writes a weekly garden column with a photograph, under the banner ‘In Fiona’s Garden’.

The Land, which has been published for more than a century, is the leading rural newspaper in NSW and known affectionately as ‘The Bible of the Bush’. That first column was about winter-flowering clematis and accompanied by two small black and white photos says Fiona.

In commenting on her anniversary, she said it was interesting looking back on the extraordinary changes in gardening and gardening communications that have happened since 1995.

“Gardening remains an amazing journey, with always more to discover,” added Fiona.

If you have a work anniversary, celebration or acclamation, share it with fellow HMAA members via this website and the Friday Blast.
