Coming up in 2026

With the new year well advanced, it’s time to plan for some upcoming HMAA events including webinars, dinners and The Laurels.

Here’s a quick calendar of HMAA events already in the pipeline for 2026. Bookings will be available for webinars via the website closer to the website dates. Keep in touch with all events, news and activity via the HMAA website and the Friday Blast.

January 28 Webinar ‘An introduction to Australian cycads’ with Attila Kapitany. Time – 1pm (AEDT). Cactus and succulent enthusiast Attila will venture into the wonderful world of Australian cycads. Click here to watch the replay

February 20 Webinar ‘Great indoor plants’ with Tammy Huynh – Ipm (AEDT). Tammy will discuss her recently released book ‘The Plant Book’ and share some tips, advice and favourite indoor plants. Book here.

March 13 Webinar ‘Native bees’ with Steve Maginnity from Australian Native Bee Co (based in Northern NSW) – 12 noon (AEDT). Steve is a native bee expert and teacher who specialises in education about Australian native bees. Bookings will open closer to the date of the webinar.

March 25-29 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, Melbourne. HMAA will hold its annual MIFGS dinner on March 24 in a restaurant close to the Melbourne CBD. Details available soon. Register your interest here.

September 3 The Laurels Award Night and Dinner, Carrick Hill, South Australia. Bookings for the dinner and award entries will be open in early 2026.

September 4 Garden tour, Adelaide region and cocktail party (Horticulture Pavilion, Royal Agricultural Society). Details to come.

September 5 Royal Adelaide Show – HMAA members receive a Show pass to attend the event.
