Climate Toolbox aimed at garden owners

The Australian Garden History Society has included a Climate Toolbox on its website. The Climate Toolkit is a collaborative opportunity for museums, gardens and zoos who want to learn how to address climate change within their own organisations and inspire the communities they serve to follow their lead. The toolkit has ideas that other gardeners can adapt; for example to reduce lawn areas by 10 per cent and encourage native plant replacements; ensure 25 per cent of all lawn/garden maintenance equipment is electric: and ensure that 50 per cent of pesticides and fertilisers used are not derived from fossil fuels.
