An excited Connie Cao was presented with the Book Laurel for her book, Your Asian Veggie Patch. The award was sponsored by Your Garden and presented by Graham Ross.

Merilyn Kuchel received the Published Article Laurel for ‘Cottage Blossoms at Blackwood’. The Laurel was sponsored by the Nursery and Garden Industry SA and presented by President, David Eaton.

As Phil was ill and unable to attend on the night, the Video Laurel award was accepted by George Hoad on Phil’s behalf.

The Audio Laurel, sponsored by Open Gardens SA was won by Graham Ross for ‘Vanilla Orchid’, an interview with a grower aired on Garden Clinic Radio. The award was presented by Jamie McIlwain, Chair of OGSA.

The Digital Technology & Innovation Laurel went to AB Bishop for ‘Planting Guide’ (for Gardening Australia) and was sponsored by Jeffries Group. In AB’s absence, the award was accepted by Liz Wilson, Editor, Gardening Australia magazine.

It certainly was Connie Cao’s night. She also received the Anita Boucher Award, which was sponsored by Felco and presented by Luke Bennett, Brand Manager. The Award remembers the late Anita Boucher, who was editor of Australian Horticulture magazine before her untimely death.

The Hall of Fame Gold Laurel went to Attila Kapitany, honouring his life-long commitment to horticulture and plants. In Attila’s absence, the award was accepted by James Wall, President, Garden Centres Australia. The Gold Laurel was sponsored by Neutrog.
