Australia’s first and only program dedicated to new knowledge and cutting-edge skills in the field of urban forestry.

As we become a more urbanised nation, the roles our urban greenspaces play have become more important than ever, they are essential elements of a city’s infrastructure. Our urban forests reduce pollution by cleaning our air and cooling our cities and are significant contributors to a city’s identity and culture.

It’s for these reason that The University of Melbourne have partnered with the City of Melbourne to create Australia’s first and only program dedicated to sharing new knowledge and cutting-edge skills in the field of urban forestry.

The Australian School of Urban Forestry (ASUF) is a five-and-a-half-day course aimed to bring professionals like you from various disciplines together to build a community of practice that will assist in the planning, management and protection of these precious commodities.
Associate Professor, Stephen Livesley, from the University of Melbourne says the course will addresses timely questions.

“There has never been a more critical time to come together and share professional and academic knowledge across urban forestry experts within government, industry, and community,”

If you’d like to learn from renowned experts and explore nature-based solutions to the urban and suburban challenges we’re facing, then secure your place now.
