The Australian Institute of Horticulture (AIH), supported by the Berry Garden Club, NSW, are proud to launch the Hazel King Memorial Scholarship, a new initiative that honours the life and legacy of Hazel King — a beloved figure in the Australian gardening community and a passionate advocate for horticultural education and community engagement.

The Hazel King Memorial Scholarship – $3,000 to support your horticulture or conservation journey.
Are you a graduate or student passionate about community engagement, biodiversity, sustainability, and planetary health? Have you recently completed or nearing the end of your studies? This scholarship is for YOU!
What’s on offer?
$3,000 funding for:
✔️ Conferences, courses, or garden shows (local or international)
✔️ Approved travel and accommodation
✔️ Research or hands-on experiences in horticulture or conservation
You must be:
✔️ Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
✔️ Be under 40 years of age as of December 31st 2025.
✔️ Be an AIH Student Member at time of application or a current AIH Graduate member.
✔️ Be completing studies between November 2024 and November 28th2025
✔️ Studies must be AQF Certificate III or higher qualification within the Training Package for Amenity Horticulture, Landscaping, or Conservation & Land Management — OR an industry-recognised equivalent.
