Joy was an exceptional garden and flower photographer whose work featured in many publications in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Her death in 1993 was a shock to all who knew her and relied on her photos. The HMAA remembers her through this award which is made every second year in tandem with the Laurels (which are back again in 2026 in September in Adelaide).
This year there were six categories with a pleasing number of excellent entries via the HMAA website. Following peer voting online, here are the finalists in each category, a runner up and a winner.
