The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) hosted the launch of the 2018 International Festival of Landscape Architecture: ‘The Expanding Field’ on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night.
Attended by the Creative Directors, Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL), local AILA members, sponsors and guests the evening was a huge success in getting the countdown underway and people into spirit for this year’s Festival, which will also take place on the Gold Coast from 11-14 October.
Excitement was in the air for what AILA’s key annual event will hold in store for this year, being hosted previously in Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney in 2017. This year’s theme ‘The Expanding Field’ intends to take attendees on a journey of exploring overlaps in practice around landscape, both within and beyond the profession, in an Australian destination that has so much variety to offer.
