HMAA and AIH Members and Guests Christmas Lunch and Botanic Gardens Tour

Come and join your HMAA and AIH friends for a delightful morning among the plants, followed by Christmas lunch!
We’ll begin at 10:30 am with morning tea, sponsored bye HMAA and AIH, in the beautiful Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, a dog friendly 31-hectare green oasis of gardens, parkland and lakes in the heart of the Gold Coast Region.
Following morning tea, Kate Heffernan will take us on a personalised walking tour of the Botanic Gardens, sharing her knowledge and introducing us to some of the Gardens’ special features, plants and landscapes.
There is plenty to discover along the way — from native ecosystems and the Mangroves to Mountains trail to the Story of Country garden, bush foods,
Aboriginal plant use, butterflies, roses and the wonderful diversity of plants that make these Gardens such a special place.
After our walk, at 12:20pm we’ll make the short journey to Double Barrel Kitchen & Bar at Benowa to relax over our Christmas lunch and enjoy some good food, conversation and end-of-year cheer.

Botanic Gardens parking: There is plenty of on-site car parking from the main entrance off Ashmore Road, Benowa, opposite Benowa State High School.
The Gardens are just a 10-minute drive from central Surfers Paradise. The Double Barrel Kitchen & Bar is a short 5 minute drive from the gardens.
