My garden is awash with daffodils. They make a joyful start to spring, especially here in Tasmania. Soon, the riot of yellow will be joined with reds, purples, pinks and more yellow from tulips and lots of blue from bluebells and grape hyacinth. This article in the UK magazine English Garden got me thinking about other bulbs. It is timed for the northern hemisphere autumn, which is bulb planting time, but a good reminder that there are many more interesting bulbs to add colour to spring gardens, especially in the milder zones of Australia.
