Postcard from Melanie Trimper

After the sudden and untimely death of rose legend Kelvin Trimper in January 2024, Melanie Trimper has showcased their rose garden in SALife (September). Melanie has relocated to a smaller property in Golden Grove where she’s already planting roses. Here’s her social media post about the story and some images.

“I am very happy to announce the latest edition of SALife Gardens & Outdoor Living magazine is out and features our story ‘The once-in-a-lifetime garden’. As you know, Kelvin and I have been contributors to this magazine for 10 years writing about roses. Now, this year, I was invited to tell our story. The Editor wrote, “As she prepared to leave the property, Melanie shared a heartfelt tribute to their ‘once-in-a-lifetime’garden”. Some will remember we laughed when we said this was ‘our once-in-a-lifetime garden’ because you wouldn’t be silly enough to do it a second time! Kelvin and I had 36 amazing years together and this is our story.”
