Wattle Bloom Walks: Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens

Wattle Bloom Walks will be held on July 28 and August 1. Come and join the walks in the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens to view wattles in blossom. With one walk already over, don’t miss joining one of the upcoming events.

The walk will last approximately 1.5 hours and include a talk about varieties, the history of wattle in Australia and Queensland, the importance of wattle as an Australian symbol and some unusual facts and common myths.

Your guide will be Mike Gilmour, self-styled Wattle Wag of Queensland.

The walk group size will be limited, so please book your spot for a 10am start on one of the following dates:  Sunday 28 July and Thursday 1 August.
