Notice of the Annual General Meeting of HMAA
This is to advise you of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the members of the Horticultural Media Association Australia. The details of this meeting are as follows:

At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to:
- Find out about HMAA’s operations and finances
- Ask questions about the operations and finances of HMAA
- Speak about any items on the agenda
- Vote on any resolutions proposed
At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to:
- Accept the minutes of the last annual general meeting
- Accept the president’s report
- Accept the annual financial statements
- Elect members for the Executive Committee
Management Committee Representation
To give a fair state representation on the national committee, prior to the disbanding of the state HMA branches, each state nominated for one Ordinary committee member per 30 state-based members. These nominees were chosen and endorsed by the state branches.
This usually meant that Victoria had 2 representatives, and NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and WA had one Ordinary committee representative each. As SA remains an independent branch of HMAA it will have at least one Ordinary committee representative on the National Management Committee.
The HMAA Committee would like this practice to continue in the spirit of fairness and representation, so each state is encouraged to nominate members in line with this procedure.
The positions on the executive are in addition to the Ordinary committee members.
